Nordin's Lake House

The views were very nice, as was the lot. The privacy was excellent. The sunsets were beautiful. The vibe however, was off. There was no wood for the well-used fire pit that was full of cigarette butts. There was a grill, but no briquettes. There are no pantry items and the kitchen supplies were barely adequate. There are no towel hooks in the bathrooms, which was strange. The bedroom TV needed to be set up. We weren’t going to call the host or make a Walmart account for two nights. We received automated texts from the host. One of them informed us how we had to get out in time (a “generous” 10a check out) or we’d be charged for another night. At 9:15 we noticed a white car hovering around the property, likely housekeeping. By 9:45, she moved her car up toward the house and just watched and waited. That was not cool. That made us very uncomfortable. There were mud nests on the front porch and lots of spiders and spider webs on the nice back porch, front porch, eaves, everywhere. It wouldn’t take much effort to improve these things, but there seemed to be a lack of heart in the property that could be felt. The place was nice, but the vibe was off, as if it were a hotel where the little touches weren’t included, and you were just a revenue stream, that needed to leave early.

Great property beds were comfortable and host was very responsive throughout our whole stay.

This is a beautiful home and we enjoyed the nine days we were there. They don’t have towel rods in either bathroom which was odd.The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and we slept well.

Property was very nice. Views were amazing. Nice quiet place to relax and spend time with friends and family.

Great place and newly renovated. Exactly as described and we had a great trip. Everything was smooth and easy. Not a big problem, but just info: If you are a big group and plan on cooking there isn’t a lot of large cooking pans/pots. Loved our stay!!!!
